Short Destription:

The alloy is a nitrogen-containing duplex stainless steel that provides high strength and good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. This two-phase steel has 50% ferrite and 50% austenite. Manganese ensures a proper balance between austenite and ferrite, and reduces nickel content. The combination of biphase structure and a certain N content make the final tensile strength of 316 steel can reach 94Ksi (650MPa) compared with 70Ksi (480MPa). The microstructure of LDX2101 steel can make it have very good intergranular corrosion resistance, and has better uniform corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid than 304L steel, and in some cases it has good properties like 316L steel.
